Annuals or Perennials that’s the question
Do I Need Annual or Perennial Plants?
The crocus delights us in early spring as it dares to peek through the snow and lift its face to the sun. Soon after follow tulips, narcissus, iris, lilacs… all perennials that welcome spring with vibrant color and fragrance. Perennial plants bloom at different times during the growing season and delight you with variety in color and size from earliest spring to late autumn. However, many perennials like those mentioned, bloom only for a few short weeks and then disappear from the landscape until the following year.
Annual plants provide a garden with continuous bloom and color throughout the summer. The “mission” of an annual is to produce seed. Seeds sprout, foliage grows, flowers bloom and then the plant goes to seed. When the annual completes its mission, the entire plant– flower, foliage, and root system –dies.
Some annuals have a very short life span and depending upon when they are planted, may reseed and go through two or more growing cycles per season. Other annual plants grow continuously from spring planting until the first frost of autumn.
Since annual plants die completely at season end, they need to be replaced yearly. Depending on the cultivar, annual seeds can be planted directly into a garden or sprouted indoors for transplanting when weather conditions and soil temperatures are right for growth.
Annual transplants are also available each spring at gardening centers and many are sold in inexpensive flats that contain four or more plants. Annual plants can often be closely grouped to fill in barren areas of your landscape whereas perennials often need space to multiply and/or to grow to maturity.
Although some perennial plants are more expensive to purchase than annuals, in the long run you may find them less expensive since they last for longer than a single growing season. You can also purchase groups of assorted perennial bulbs in very inexpensive packs.
Perennial foliage and flowers also die at the end of a growing season, but contrary to annuals, the root systems of perennial plants live over winter and resprout with new growth each spring.
Another advantage of perennial plants is that although flowers and foliage die back, the branches of perennial shrubs offer some visual appeal to a winter landscape.
Perennial plants may take more than one season to reach full maturity. Because perennials propagate from root structures, many types of perennials also need to be divided after three or four seasons to reduce crowding and maintain their vigor.
Although all perennial plants are able to resprout for multiple seasons, perennials are divided into to categories of hardy perennials or tender perennials according to the temperature zone in which they are grown.
Hardy perennials are those that can be left in the ground to return the following season. Except for occasional division and/or pruning, hardy perennial plants need little care once established.
Bulbs like tulips and daffodils are among the easiest plants to grow and excellent choices for a beginning gardener. Tender perennials need your help to survive the winter. Some can over winter when covered with a layer of mulch or otherwise protected from the elements with gardening appurtenances such as rose cones. Some tender perennials need to be lifted and stored indoors over winter.
So the question remains, do you need annual plants or perennials? Each type of plant is ripe with “pros” and short on “cons” if you love flowers. The best solution is to experiment by planting some of each to get a summer full of color, variety, and pure gardening enjoyment!

Pellet Stoves
Some people are surprised to find that are quite a few different kinds of pellet stoves. They come in many different brands such as Vulcan, Lancaster, Bixby, Glow Boy, Harman, Ashley and Breckwell. A pellet stove is more complex than its wood counterpart and has more pricy pellet stove parts that can break down.
To control fans and pellet feeders you need electricity. Normal usage consumes about 100 kilowatt-hours (kWh), equivalent of about $9 of electricity a month.
If the pellet stove does not have a back-up power supply, the loss of electric power means no heat and some potential smoke in the house. A battery back-up can be a good idea.
Are you thinking about buying a pellet stove? Make sure you compare pellet stoves before you buy to see which ones fits your needs best. Decide if you want freestanding stoves or pellet stove inserts. Also check that it is easy for you to find a good supply of pellet nearby.
When you have this down, you are set for your pellet stove installation and for a great heating source using recycled fuel.

Is The Bill Of Rights Necessary?
The Bill of Rights to our Constitution caused — and still causes - some contradiction, confusion and danger with the Constitution itself. It is unfortunate that a bill of rights was included with the Constitution. Due to a general misunderstanding about the Constitution at the time of its ratification, a bill of rights was added to the Constitution in order to obtain ratification of the Constitution itself:
“In the course of the foregoing review of the Constitution I have taken notice of, and endeavored to answer most of the objections which have appeared against it. There, however, remain a few which either did not fall naturally under any particular head or were forgotten in their proper places. These shall now be discussed. … The most considerable of these remaining objections is that the Constitution of the convention contains no bill or rights.” Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers #84.
Indeed, during the convention itself, a motion to prepare a bill of rights to the Constitution was “passed unanimously in the negative.” September 12, 1787; Notes Of Debates In The Federal Convention Of 1787 Reported By James Madison.
But why no bill of rights?
“A minute detail of particular rights is certainly far less applicable to a Constitution like that under consideration, which is merely intended to regulate the general political interests of the nation, than to a constitution which has the regulation of every species of personal and private concerns.
It has been several times truly remarked that bills of rights are, in their origin, stipulations between kings and their subjects, abridgements of prerogative in favor of privilege, reservations of rights not surrendered to the prince. Such was Magna Carta, obtained by the barons, sword in hand, from King John. Such was the subsequent confirmation of that charter by subsequent princes. Such was the Petition of Right assented to by Charles the First in the beginning of his reign. Such, also, was the Declaration of Right presented by the Lords and Commons to the Prince of Orange in 1688, and afterwards thrown into the form of an act of Parliament called the Bill of Rights.
It is evident, therefore, that, according to primitive signification, they have no application to constitutions, professedly founded upon the power of the people and executed by their immediate representatives and servants. Here in strictness, the people surrender nothing; and as they retain everything, they have no need of particular reservations.
The truth is, after all the declamations we have heard, that the Constitution is itself, in every rational sense, and to every useful, a bill of rights. The several bills of rights in Great Britain form its Constitution; and conversely, the constitution of each State is its bill of rights. And the proposed Constitution, if adopted, will be the bill of rights of the Union.” Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers #84.
However, in the debates of the state conventions, the most criticized feature of the Constitution, voiced by the opposition, was the lack of a bill or rights:
“One criticism repeatedly advanced (against the Constitution) was the absence of a bill of rights. This matter had been discussed very briefly on the floor of the Philadelphia Convention, where George Mason had introduced a resolution, supported by Elbridge Gerry, to appoint a committee to prepare a bill of rights. Roger Sherman had replied briefly that the various state constitutions already had bills of rights, which should prove sufficient under the new government, and Mason’s motion had then been defeated 10 to 0. But in the ratification controversy, absence of a federal bill of rights became a focal point of attack upon the Constitution by the Antifederalists, who pointed out that since the new government had a sphere of sovereignty of its own and functioned directly upon individuals, the absence of a bill of rights prepared the way for encroachments upon the liberties of the people.
The absence of a bill of rights proved a bargaining point for the Federalists in some of the state conventions, for they were able to pledge the adoption of a new bill or rights by amendment once the new government was established. In several conventions, among them those in Massachusetts, New York, and Virginia, the Federalists at the last moment won over certain moderates in the opposition with this understanding. Several of the state conventions submitted proposed amendments containing bills of rights at the time that they ratified. These were made the basis of the first ten amendments to the Constitution, adopted by Congress in 1789 and by the states within two years after the establishment of the new government.” The American Constitution; Its Origins And Development, 5th Edition, by Alfred H. And what danger did and does the Bill of Rights present with the Constitution itself?
“Bills of rights, in the sense and to the extent in which they are contended for, are not only unnecessary in the proposed Constitution, but would even be dangerous. They would contain various exceptions to powers which are not granted; and, on this very account, would afford a colorable pretext to claim more than were granted. For why declare that things shall not be done which there is no power to do?
Why, for instance, should it be said that the liberty of the press shall not be restrained, when no power is given by which restrictions may be imposed? I will not contend that such a provision would confer a regulating power; but it is evident that it would furnish, to men disposed to usurp, a plausible pretense for claiming that power. They might urge, with a semblance of reason, that the Constitution ought not to be charged with the absurdity of providing against the abuse of an authority which was not given, and that the provision against restraining the liberty of the press afforded a clear implication that a power to prescribe proper regulations concerning it was intended to be vested in the national government. This may serve as a specimen of the numerous handles which would be given to the doctrine of constructive powers, by the indulgence of an injudicious zeal for bills of rights.” Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Papers #84.
To maintain the integrity of the Constitution an amendment was drafted and included in The Bill of Rights. It reads:
“The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” Amendment 9, Constitution of the United States.
Its inclusion was to prevent the rights listed in the other amendments (as well as those amendments which have been added since then) from being construed as the only rights of the people. Indeed, the constitutional operation of the federal government would be exactly the same if The Bill of Rights were not there at all.
However, The Bill of Rights is a part of the Constitution. A result of a comprise based upon a misunderstanding of the Constitution itself.

Health and Fitness in Pregnancy and Delivering a Healthy Baby
Pregnancy is when women are most beautiful, when there’s another
life being nurtured inside the mother’s womb. This act of
creating life, though, is not without its complications, and
expectant soon-to-be mothers should do their best to keep their
health in optimal condition, for their sake as well as the
unborn child’s. Even the common cold can affect the pregancy. So
what are the steps to take during pregnancy? Here are a few tips
and suggestions.
The first step in pregnancy is to visit a doctor and have
yourself examined for any possible complication, get your pap
smear, blood test, the works; also make sure that you get as
much information as possible to help make sure your pregnancy is
being handled properly. Of course, it is best to take great care
in choosing a physician, a midwife, a hostpital, and all the
necessary staff in the pregnancy. Make sure that they are just
as concerned for the baby as you are
Pregnancy makes it all the more important to maintain a healthy
diet especially since there’s another life at stake. The intake
of folic acid (necessary for embryo development and cell growth)
should begin as soon as possible. Another important supplement
that might be needed is iron, for healthy blood, and for the
development of the bones and teeth of the baby. Do not overdose
on the seafood intake as fish tend to have high levels of
mercury. The recommended weight gain during pregnancy is around
25 to 30 pounds — on healthy food, of course.
As metabolism increases during pregnancy there is larger loss of
water, which should be compensated by drinking more water than
usual.
Exercise is an important part of a healthy pregnancy, though, of
course, pregnant women shouldn’t exert extreme amounts of
effort. It is best for expectant mothers without complications
to work out at moderate intensity for 30 minutes a day. It is
important, though, to first consult with your physician before
working out.
While it’s important to keep physical health at an optimum,
emotional health should also be taken into consideration.
Disorders such as depression can lead to loss of appetite and
weight, sluggishness, irregular sleeping habits and disturbances
in motor activity, as well as an intensified presence of
feelings of worthlessness, incapability, or guilt. Pregnant
women are more susceptible to this, and they will need an
extraordinary amount of support from peers and family.
Counseling and meditation have also proven to be successful in
treating this disorder. But as an ounce of prevention is worth
more than a pound of cure, and prevention may just save your
pregnancy. Introspection may help; examining your capabilities
as a mother, past relationships, etc. Don’t forget to take your
needs seriously. Work with your partner and don’t be shy to get
professional health.
Pregnancy can be a nine month tribulation of passing gas,
nausea, and heartburn. It is a period of bonding with an unborn
child, wondering about your child’s purpose in life, feeling
every hearbeat and kick with amazement. To avoid any later
regrets, take care of your health. And enjoy life.

Making Money in Forex
Whether you’re a stock broker, mortgage broker or loan officer, FOREX trading is an essential part of one’s portfolio. FOREX trading is an extremely lucrative, yet volatile and risky market. There is no proven method to trading. Some people claim to have found the Holy Grail to FOREX trading. However, through my experience it’s best to develop your own method of trading. Decide the best time to trade, develop good money management, and set goals. A lot of experienced FOREX traders trade the London and New York overlap between the hours of 9:30 am GMT and 2:00pm GMT. The reason for this being is that during this time the market moves a lot and becomes extremely volatile. Many FOREX traders are extremely good when it comes to managing their money.
The key to success in FOREX trading is to block out your emotions and anxiety. A true FOREX trader will discipline themselves to stick to their trading style regardless of what happens in the markets. Many people feel as though just after a few short months of trading successfully in a demo account they are ready for the real thing. Take your time and really learn how the FOREX market works.

On the surface, organizing is about time, space, money, and
stuff. Underneath, it?s about inner clarity, strength, and the
choices we make every day. When life is disorganized and
complicated on the outside, very often it?s a reflection of
what?s going on inside a person…a barometer of sorts. Bottom
line is that people are different, circumstances are different
and I certainly don?t claim to know it all. But there is one
thing I do know, and that is this: Stuff is stuff.
Like an anchor to the past, your stuff holds you in its grip,
never letting you fully look to the future, to what could be.
Instead it forces you to look at, and to live among what was,
what might have been, or what will never be. Stuff is not love,
it?s not anger, it?s not sadness or grief. It?s not happy or
sad, it?s not good or bad. It has no feelings or thoughts, it
can?t laugh with you or cry with you, and it doesn?t get hurt
when you throw it against the wall in frustration.
It?s not your friend or your enemy. It holds no opinions or
grudges or judgments. Because it?s not human. You see, your
stuff is just like everyone else?s. It?s paper and ink and
plastic. It?s smooth or rough, soft or solid, it?s glass and
wood and leather. It?s colored fabric and wax and metal and
stone. It means nothing but what you tell it to mean. And in
this very fact lies freedom!
What you tell yourself that your stuff means will either free
you from its chains or enslave you. Today I challenge you to
change the way you think about your stuff. Take a good look
around with new eyes. Look at your paper and ink and plastic and
wood. And know that no matter what you tell yourself, stuff
isn?t anything but stuff. So keep in your life only what is
truly special, useful or meaningful, and free the rest to
benefit someone else.
When you free yourself of stuff, time commitments and all other
things no longer valuable, you are then free to pursue the
things you enjoy, spend time with those you love, find what
feeds your soul and gives you purpose.

room to create whatever look or feel you desire. Shop flea
markets and thrift stores for prints and interesting
photographs, or go to a discount store for frames and hang some
of your own creations.
* Buy furniture that won’t break the bank. Shop smart for
couches, lamps, tables, entertainment centers, and more. Estate
sales, consignment stores, flea markets, junk and thrift stores
can be gold mines for second hand but stylish furniture.
If you don’t want second hand, shop clearance sales or online.
Online furniture stores can be treasure troves for good deals,
since they generally have little overhead and therefore don’t
pass those costs on to you, the consumer.
* Can’t afford a new couch? If you are somewhat handy with a
sewing machine, use discounted fabric or beautiful sheets to sew
yourself a couch cover. Still have energy? Create more cheap but
beautiful “new” furniture by sewing upholstery covers for your
armchairs or dining room chair seat cushions.
If you can’t sew, buy a shabby chic slipcover or tuck in a
large beautiful sheet or blanket for a homemade slipcover.
Finally, consider simply rearranging your furniture — finding a
different wall to put your couch against can create a whole new
look for your living room.
Use any or all of these tips to achieve the style you want at a
low, low cost. Amaze your friends and family with your stylish
home, then dazzle them with the shoestring budget you had to

You will not be able to build good credit overnight. It will take discipline and persistence on your part to change your credit for the better. After you have fixed and improved your credit rating in the eyes of lenders, you will notice more opportunities offered to you to borrow money at more desireable terms than when your credit was bad. Just because you have bad credit does not mean that you can not borrow money or get a loan, it just means that less opportunities will be available. The funds you can get will come at a greater cost in terms of higher interest rates and more stringent repayment terms.
