Your Space Ltd the serviced office provider is now in administration causing 14 redundancies. Daniel Butters and Bill Dawson of Deloitte were appointed the joint administrators of the company’s and its subsidies offices on March 26th. It was listed previously on the AIM but on March 16th its shares were cancelled.

Previously Butters and Dawson were also the joint supervisors of the company’s voluntary arrangements which were approved by its creditors in November of 2009.

Your Space Ltd. operated several groups of serviced offices including Manchester city centre office buildings at New Mount Street and St. James’s Court. It also offered refurbishment and restoration contracts for buildings that were listed Grade I and Grade II (see desk space Bradford).

Dawson stated that while the CVA was in place the group was not able to sell off key real estate and as a result was unable to reinvest back into its contracting business. As a result of the poor performance in contracts the building conversion rate reduced largely causing trading performance to fall below what was needed in order to meet the requirements of the CVA.

He added that this caused the loss of 14 jobs and that they are still looking for a buyer to take over the company.

In September 2009 the firm agreed to a creditors’ voluntary arrangement that allowed them to pay 20p for every £1 owned to creditors totalling up to £5.5m owed. At this time they agreed to pay into the agreement for a three year period.

The RPS Consultancy group is moving 43 employees from their UK base to New Castle Science & Technology Park. This office will be located in the new business center at Northamptonshire and will be run by Fasset.

This RPS group is an environmental planning consultancy that is moving to Grafton Building. They have signed a 5 year lease for 6,100 sq. ft. This makes them the occupier for the largest managed office space since the opening of the Park in 2009.

Currently there are 210 workers employed at Caswell Parks 13 different locations. The total desk space includes office, lab and manufacturing space accounts for 170,000 sq. ft.

It was only a few months ago that Fasset landed a contract to renovate the Grafton building in order to create space so that businesses could take advantage of the packages. This would help to lure businesses to the site that was not working with a full ration.

Oclaro rewarded Fasset who refurbished the Grafton building. They modernized it to meet the business standards. They also added another floor to the site in order to give support to the heavy weight storage units.

Mitch Avis, the accounts manager for the Fasset group stated that the RPS group acquired the lease in a short time due to the calibre of the company. He also stated that they were sure that the company would work hard to meet their goals and thereby feel enabled to pay their lease. He further stated that the company was growing rapidly after moving office space to the Northamptonshire region.
